Colorado. The breast center is fully accredited by the National Accreditation
Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American

its patients every significant advantage in their battle against breast disease.
The hallmarks of our acclaimed breast cancer program are:

-
a
Breast Health Navigator, an experienced oncology nurse who provides personalized guidance through
treatment and recovery
- the latest advances in diagnostic technology
- access to advanced radiation therapy and clinical trials of new cancer
fighting drugs
-
extensive
rehabilitation and support services
Comprehensive and Coordinated Care
Each week, doctors specializing in medical oncology, radiation oncology,
radiology, surgery, plastic surgery and pathology meet to jointly develop
individualized treatment plans for every newly diagnosed patient. They
are joined by other members of our care team. The collective expertise
of all these clinical professionals helps ensure that each patient receives
optimal care.
Inpatient cancer care is provided at Foothills Hospital, where experienced
and specially trained nurses provide personalized care to acutely ill
cancer patients and their families. In the nearby Tebo Family Medical
Building, we provide optimal access to a wide range of outpatient treatments.
Breast cancer patients also benefit from our
Center for Integrative Care, where they can take advantage of many complementary therapies, such as
massage and acupuncture, which can make the journey through healing and
recovery easier.
Breast Imaging Center of Excellence
Foothills Hospital has been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence
by the American College of Radiology (a national organization dedicated
to advancing the science of radiology and improving patient care). Our
state-of-the-art diagnostics include:
- digital mammography
- digital tomosynthesis
- breast Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- a breast-specific gamma camera (one of the only two available in Colorado)
- stereotactic breast biopsies
