Philanthropy is crucial to the mission of Boulder Community Health. It’s
impact for BCH as a community hospital gives BCH leaders the ability to
respond quickly to community needs. According to Dr. Rob Vissers, CEO
of BCH “Our vision is to create and care for the healthiest community
in the nation. That’s the expectation of our community, and we think
it’s achievable. Currently, with the support of our board, we believe
that independence is the best strategy for us to achieve that vision.
When we have looked at options outside of being independent, what we find
is it moves of further away from our vision, not closer to it.”
Nothing says it better. As a partner with BCH through your selfless giving
we are assured of achieving our mission.
Loyal donors like Sandy and Sally Bracken see their role as philanthropists
by answering the question “What other institution has such a direct
impact on our lives than a community hospital?” That’s what
motivated their giving. When you ask yourself that same question, we hope
that you’ll join so many others who believe in the value of BCH
to you and our entire community.
The BCH Foundation exists to enhance the quality and availability of heath
care services in Boulder and Broomfield Counties by generating and administering
charitable gifts to our nonprofit, community-owned hospital and health
system. With the continued generous support of our community, the foundation
granted nearly $5 million to BCH in 2020.
Boulder Community Health Foundation Core Beliefs
In support of enhancing the quality and availability of health care services
provided through BCH, these core beliefs both inform and inspire the actions
of the BCH Foundation in our partnership with BCH to create and care for
the healthiest community in the nation.
We believe that developing meaningful partnerships across the community
is critical in BCH achieving its vision – ‘Partnering to create
and care for the healthiest community in the nation.’
We believe it is imperative to invest in the resilience of BCH’s
greatest asset – the staff and physicians that provide transformational
care to the community on a daily basis.
