Pay My Bill

COVID-19 Update
We care about our patient’s personal and financial health and we
are here to support you in these difficult times. If you are experiencing
financial concerns, please call our patient service center at 303-415-5300
or email us at patientservicecenter@bch.org and we can discuss options
available to you.
We’ve updated our payment portal and mobile app to make paying your
bills easier than ever. However, during this transition, there will be
two ways to pay your bill, depending on your date of service. Please see
below for instructions on paying your bill.
For date of service on or before September 30, 2019
Previously, our system generated two different types of bills — one
for physician services (see sample) and another for hospital-based services (see sample). If your statement looks like either of these, you can pay your bill
securely by clicking the green button below. There's no need to create
an account. Just have your bill in hand, as you will need information
from it. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
Information provided to our secure payment site is for payment processing.
Your email address is needed for confirmation and receipt only and will
not be used for marketing purposes.
For date of service on or after October 1, 2019
You can use our much-improved MyBCH portal to pay these bills -- log in,
sign up or Pay as a Guest. You can see examples of MyBCH statements
here. You can pay your bill securely and see your balances by clicking the
blue button below.

Disputing a Bill
At Boulder Community Health, we understand that health care bills can be
complicated to understand. We are here to work with you to help you understand
your bill, get it paid and off your mind. If you want to dispute a charge,
please follow the process below:
- For BCH Physician Clinic bills, please call 303-415-4766 and ask to speak
to a manager.
- For all other BCH bills, including hospital-related services, please call
303-415-4700 or email patientaccounts@bch.org. Someone from our team will
get back to you.
To dispute a bill for date of service on or after October 1, 2019, please
call 303-415-5300
Have your insurance card(s) and billing statements ready. Please reference
the contact information at the top of each billing statement. BCH billing
specialists will contact the specific clinic or facility where you received
services to request a review of charges. We will then contact you with
that information.
If your billing issue is not resolved, our billing specialists will work
with you to apply for financial assistance, and/or set up a payment plan.
Thank you for partnering with us for your health care needs.
Expect to Get Other Bills
Depending on your illness or injury, you may receive more than one bill
for your BCH visit, since independent medical professionals providing
services at BCH bill separately for their services.
These may include: ER physicians, radiologists, pathologists, surgeons,
anesthesiologists, ambulance or helicopter, and home care providers.
If you have questions or concerns about one of those bills, please call
the number on your billing statement.
Price Transparency for Common Procedures and Services
We know it’s not easy to understand your health care options and
the cost of care. At Boulder Community Health, we try to help by providing
self-pay information and resources about pricing for common procedures
and services. Please click here for our
Price Transparency and Cost Estimate PDF.
In accordance with federal hospital transparency requirements, BCH is providing
cost information for "shoppable" services and the hospital Charge Description
Master (CDM).
A shoppable service is typically non-urgent and can be scheduled in advance,
allowing patients to price shop and schedule at a time that is convenient
for them. Examples of common shoppable services include imaging and laboratory
services, medical and surgical procedures and outpatient clinic visits.

The Charge Description Master (CDM), or chargemaster, is a comprehensive
listing of items that could be billed to a patient, payer or health care provider.

Emergency Department charges are based on the level of emergency care provided
to our patients at either our
Foothills Hospital Emergency Department in Boulder or the
Emergency Department at our Community Medical Center in Lafayette.
The levels, with level 1 representing basic emergency care, reflect the
type of accommodations needed, the personnel resources, the intensity
of care and the amount of time needed to provide treatment. The following
charges do not include fees for drugs, appliances, supplies or additional
ancillary procedures that may be required for a particular emergency treatment.
They also do not include fees for Emergency Department physicians, who
will bill separately for their services.
Our Emergency Department Price Estimate Rates reflect the amount a patient might pay if they take advantage of our Boulder
Community Health prompt-pay self-pay discount.
Please note: Actual prices on the final hospital bill may vary from an
estimate based on the patient’s medical condition, unknown circumstances
or complications, final diagnosis, recommended treatment ordered by the
attending physician(s) and other factors.
BCH strongly encourages patients with health insurance to consult with
their insurer to determine their financial responsibility.
