Heart to Heart 5K returns Sept. 27, 2026
& supports patients with cardiac care costs
Boulder Community Health is proud to partner with Boulderthon to present
the third annual Heart to Heart 5K on Sept. 27, 2026 in downtown Boulder
to raise funds for our Boulder Heart patients to support treatment and
management of their cardiac health, wellness and recovery. We look forward
to walking and running with you Sept. 27.
Run, walk or donate for heart health
All finishers will receive a race medal, finisher shirt and timing chip.
During 5K registration, you’ll have the chance to add a donation
to BCH’s Heart to Heart Fund. Contributions aid Boulder Heart patients
in the prevention, treatment and management of their cardiac health. This
Fund provides financial assistance to heart patients so they have one
less worry and can focus on their health, wellness and recovery. Register

More than half of people in the U.S. (51%) do not know that heart disease
is the leading cause of death in our country, for men and women, according
to recent data shared by the American Heart Association. Heart disease,
though, has been the #1 killer for more than a century – and this
lack of knowledge and awareness is potentially deadly.
Every
34 seconds in the U. S. - an adult dies from cardiovascular disease (CVD) (Source:
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention – CDC). These are mothers,
fathers, sisters, brothers and friends—all gone because of a disease
that is usually preventable.
Research has shown that physical activity is one of the most important
things you can do for your health, particularly cardiovascular health.
Physical activities, such as running and walking, have been shown to reduce
heart attacks, strengthen heart muscles and reduce blood pressure, amongst
other benefits.
