When I broke my leg last week, it was all too easy for me to fall into a pit of despair. My life changed in an instant and I was afraid. I knew I would be in good hands at BCH, but my experience far exceeded my expectations. From the emergency department, to the OR, to recovery and PT, BCH staff were so kind and caring every step of the way.

My nurse John really stands out though. John was attentive, compassionate, and best of all, he made me laugh and smile at every check in throughout the day after my surgery. John assured me I could stay until I felt ready to head home and face the reality of the next few weeks. He stuck with me until the end of the day, and offered to wheel me down to the parking lot to say goodbye. People like John make hospitals less scary and I hope he knows that he truly made a difference when I needed it most. Thank you, BCH!
