“...I have always been proud of the care provided by the hospitals I worked at - now I'm proud of the care I received at Boulder.”
I arrived to the ED with extreme shortness of breath, tachycardia and symptoms of post-op pneumonia or PE (I am a retired RN.) I was taken back within minutes, tests ordered and did, indeed have multiple blood clots in my lungs, all lobes, bilateral. I was educated, treated and admitted quickly to the cardiac floor for five days. All of my care providers from food services to physicians were wonderful. Nandu, RN admitted me and took excellent care of me several nights. Sarah, RN took care of me three days and did my discharge teaching. I would especially like to recognize her. I felt safe, my tests/meds/plan of care were always explained clearly and all questions answered to my satisfaction. Her positive, cheerful demeanor - and throwing a lovely braid in my hair each day were SO appreciated. She may be a traveler, but she was definitely a team member. I wish she could be recognized for the care she provided to both me and my husband. A former coworker of mine said "It takes a good nurse to know a good nurse." I can't imagine anyone not knowing that about her - nurse or not. I also liked all my hospitality- especially the doc who saw me my last three days there. In conclusion, I have always been proud of the care provided by the hospitals I worked at - now I'm proud of the care I received at Boulder. Thank you
