For the last few years I have had plenty to say about the state of our healthcare system and my concerns for where it’s headed. Whether you were to ask my PCP, folks in billing, the rehab crew and others elsewhere in the BCH organization, they could tell you I’ve bent their ear a bit about my concerns. This is not a letter about that, but rather what I recently discovered is most definitively RIGHT about the state of healthcare.

During a recent emergency visit and stay, the wonderful, professional, compassionate folks at BCH reminded me what an amazing group of people you have there. Beginning with Sara in the ER, who worked diligently to get me moved to a room with Angela as my nurse. Sara said Angela was a good one. And she was right. Each person who assisted with my care those next few days was such a ray of sunshine. I wish I could thank each of them individually. Dillon, Esmeralda, Carlyn and so many more. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reminding me of what’s NOT BROKEN in health care. You are all rock stars and I am grateful our paths crossed recently.
