Protecting Yourself From Lung Cancer - Free Online Health lecture

About This Event

  • Event Type:Lectures & Special Events
Details:

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in American men and women. Although cigarette smokers are most at risk, anyone can get lung cancer. In fact, the lifetime risk for all adults—smokers and nonsmokers—is 1 in 15 for men and 1 in 17 for women. Part of the reason lung cancer is so deadly is that most cases are diagnosed after the disease has spread. Only 1 in 4 are diagnosed at an early stage when it’s most curable.

Hear board-certified pulmonologist Dr. Timothy Clark describe the newest developments in lung cancer prevention and early detection, from avoiding risk factors and recognizing symptoms to screenings that can detect the disease in its earliest, most treatable stages.
