Mondays from 2:15- 2:15 pm

In Mindful Movement, we seek a freer and easier way of being in our bodies. Using gentle, pleasurable movements based on the Trager® Approach, combined with gentle yoga stretches, Bartenieff Fundamentals and Chi Kung, this class awakens the senses, lubricates the joints, and soothes the nervous system into the relaxation response. The awareness gained in this class can enhance every other movement activity you enjoy and can help ease chronic pain, anxiety and other stress-related issues. In this class we spend some time lying on our backs on the floor, then move to standing.  Please wear unrestricted, comfortable clothing.

This class is led by Elizabeth Haselwood, RN-BSN, BFA, who is the integrative care nurse at the BCH Center for Mind Body Medicine. Elizabeth has a BFA in dance performance, is a certified Trager® practitioner, and has taught movement classes for children and adults, in universities, international dance festivals and in New York City. Elizabeth is also certified in Mind Body Medicine. 

** Note: COVID-19 vaccination is required for all in-person classes at the BCH Center for Mind Body Medicine. 

Scholarships and sliding scale are available for this class as needed. Please inquire.
