About Us

For 65 years, the BCH Ambassadors (BCHA) have continued their efforts of supporting our nonprofit community health care organization in its goal to create and care for the healthiest community in the nation. We work both diligently and creatively to support that goal. In those past 65 years, our organization has given over $2.5 million+ to our hospital through fundraising, membership dues, and donations.

Our mission

The mission of the Boulder Community Health Ambassadors is to provide leadership to the community to generate and distribute funds that enhance the services provided by the hospital. We have been able to make numerous contributions to the hospital through our many special programs and events, including the Boulder Busts a Move and Holiday Extravaganza. These events have raised significant funds to benefit various departments and specific hospital funds including the BCH Breast Cancer Treatment Fund and BCH Behavioral Health.

Scholarship program

The BCHA Scholarship Program provides scholarships for BCH employees advancing their health care education, BCH volunteers and high school students pursuing human health care studies. Scholorships for 2023 are now closed. Please check back in January 2024.

Mini-Grants

BCHA Mini-grants are provided to BCH departments for non-capital services or equipment that benefit patient care and/or enhance the patient experience. Click here to apply for a mini grant.

Additional programs

Our additional programs include the SANE (Sexual Assault Nurses Exam) program, bicycle helmets for the Trauma Dept., crayons and coloring books to the Emergency Dept., one-time grants, and other hospital programs.

BCH Ambassadors Leadership Council

The BCH Ambassadors Leadership Council is comprised entirely of volunteers. Council members are recruited from within the organization as well as the community at large, and are responsible for the leadership of the Ambassadors organization.

“The BCH Ambassadors organization is an invaluable partner to Boulder Community Health and to the community it serves.” - Robert J. Vissers, MD, MBA, FACEP, BCH President and CEO
