Full Range of Care for Patients With Lung Disease
Our comprehensive program is staffed by specialists who offer diagnosis,
treatment, rehabilitation and education for patients of all ages with
breathing difficulties such as asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis and
lung disease. Our experienced pulmonary team includes pulmonologists,
respiratory therapists, nurses and diagnostic technicians.
Our Pulmonary Services Include:
Bronchial Thermoplasty – this innovative outpatient treatment can help patients who have severe
or persistent asthma that is not well controlled by asthma medications.
A specially-trained pulmonologist uses mild heat to decrease the amount
of excess smooth muscle tissue in the airways, reducing constriction during
an asthma attack. To learn more or schedule a consultation, call 303-442-2150.
Cardiopulmonary Stress Testing – also known as an exercise tolerance test, this determines whether
your blood flow is delivering sufficient oxygen to your heart while it
is working hardest, such as during exercise. To learn more or schedule
a test, call Boulder Heart at 303-442-2395.
Pulmonary Function Testing – a non-invasive diagnostic test that checks to see how well your
lungs work. PFTs can diagnose lung diseases and measure the severity of
lung problems. If you are receiving treatment for a lung disease, a PFT
can help determine how well that therapy is working. To learn more or
schedule a consultation, call Boulder Heart at 303-442-2395.
Respiratory Therapy – our experienced respiratory therapists assist pulmonologists in diagnosing
illnesses and provide therapy, management and education to improve respiratory
health. They can educate patients with cardiac or pulmonary disease conditions
on self-management techniques designed to help individuals and families
deal with chronic respiratory diseases such as asthma and COPD. To learn
more or schedule therapy, call Boulder Heart at 303-442-2395.

tools they can use to manage their condition and improve their quality
of life through:
