About
Dean Springstead is a Family Nurse Practitioner who is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, a subsidiary of the American Nurses Association (ANA). He also has earned certification as a Critical-Care Nurse (CCRN) from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Regis University in Denver in 1996, followed by a Master in Science in Nursing with an emphasis in Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Colorado Denver in 2012.
Prior to joining Boulder Heart and Boulder Community Health, Dean gained extensive experience working as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit and the Cardiac Catherization Lab, where he assisted in invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures.
Dean is passionate about coronary disease prevention and management. He believes education is an important key to helping patients take an active role in their overall health and well-being. He also enjoys tailoring each plan of care to individual patients.

Dr. Springstead is awesome very thorough and really makes sure to get to the bottom of problem. Great plan for my care and at this follow-up appointment he really made sure I understood test results and made another care plan.
