I had my left hip replaced in 2016. Surgery went well. However, Dr, Blackwood did not recommend any physical therapy until many months afterwards because I kept complaining about pain issues. After many physical therapy sessions and evaluations by other doctors, it was determined that the surgery had caused permanent nerve damage to my left hip area. I am now as much pain during walking and sleeping as I was before the surgery. Dr. Blackwood showed very little concern about my continuing pain issues. I would not recommend Dr. Blackwood.
