BCH Pillar Lecture: Co-Response and Restorative Justice 9-30-21

  • Category: Substance Abuse

If you watched this lecture, we encourage you to fill out our post-lecture survey. Your responses will help us improve future lectures.

What are co-response and restorative justice? What are the benefits of a behavioral health professional accompanying law enforcement on calls that may involve mental health, substance abuse or other crises? Additionally, how can a theory of justice that emphasizes repairing the harm caused by criminal activity support our community and help to build peace?

Join us this month as we welcome representatives from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office Co-Responder Team and The Boulder County District Attorney’s Office to answer all of these questions and more.

Speakers include:

Amanda Rumsey, MS – Therapist with Boulder County Community Services
Elaina Shively, JD – Senior Deputy District Attorney
