BCH welcomes Kelly Adams, Esq. as new Chief Legal Officer

We are pleased to announce that Kelly Adams, Esq., will be joining Boulder Community Health (BCH) as our new Chief Legal Officer (CLO) on April 20. Kelly will serve as General Counsel upon the retirement of our longtime General Counsel, Sarah Meshak, this May.

Sarah assures us she is leaving BCH in very good hands, stating: “Kelly brings outstanding legal acumen, a deep understanding of the local health care landscape and a genuine appreciation for the unique values of our community and our state. I couldn’t be more impressed with her, and I look forward to seeing BCH continue to thrive under her leadership.”

Kelly brings more than 15 years of experience in health care with more than a decade of specialized health care legal practice and leadership to BCH. Most recently, she served as Region General Counsel for Intermountain Health, where she supported the Peaks Region executive team and operations across Colorado and Montana. In this role, she served as a trusted member of and strategic partner to the executive team and Board of Directors, providing legal counsel on a wide array of complex legal, contractual, operational and regulatory matters. She has a strong track record of aligning legal strategy with health care delivery in an increasingly complex and evolving regulatory environment.

Prior to her role at Intermountain, Kelly practiced law at Akerman LLP in Denver, providing legal guidance to national and regional health care clients on a broad range of issues. Before starting her legal career, she worked in research and program development for the University of Colorado Hospital, gaining hands-on experience at the intersection of health care, research and patient care.

Kelly earned her law degree from the University of Colorado Law School, where she also received a Health Law and Policy Certificate, and holds a bachelor’s degree from Kenyon College.

Please join us in welcoming Kelly to BCH and thanking Sarah Meshak for her many years of dedicated service to our patients and our community as she embarks upon her next chapter.
