Essentials for new dads: Get prepared with parenting classes at Boulder Community Health

Happy Father’s Day! Fatherhood is an exciting and challenging experience, whether you’re welcoming your first child or your fourth. At Boulder Community Health, we offer classes designed to help you prepare, feel confident, and support your partner and baby every step of the way.

Our expert-led classes cover everything from childbirth education and newborn care to navigating the emotional and logistical changes of early parenthood. Here’s how each class can help you feel more prepared — and less overwhelmed.

Boot Camp for Dads

This one-day workshop is designed specifically for expectant fathers. You’ll learn how to support your partner during labor, handle the emotional ups and downs of new parenthood, and develop hands-on skills for caring for a newborn.

You’ll also hear directly from experienced dads who share what worked (and what didn’t) in the early days. This class covers:

  • Supporting your partner during labor and recovery

  • Holding, diapering, and soothing your newborn

  • Managing sleep deprivation and household responsibilities

  • Adjusting to life as a parent and partner
