Outpatient Rehabilitation Services

To protect our patients and staff, all people entering a BCH care facility will be required to wear a mask (exceptions include children <2 yrs. old or medical reasons such as trouble breathing, unconsciousness, or someone unable to remove a mask without assistance). *Bandanas, neck gaiters, and masks with valves are not acceptable.

At Boulder Community Health, we offer an expansive range of therapies to treat a wide variety of physical, cognitive and emotional challenges. We use a team approach to address complex cases, working in partnership with clients and their referring physicians. Our team of highly-experienced professionals offers expertise in physical therapy, occupational therapy, hand therapy and speech therapy. Hand & Upper Extremity Therapy

Using a combination of treatments, exercises, education and state-of-the-art equipment, our certified hand therapists help patients achieve healing and maximum functional use of their hands and arms. Our therapists are highly skilled in all aspects of hand and upper extremity therapy, including:

  • Manual therapy
  • Custom splinting
  • Wound care
  • Lymphedema treatment

Patients are seen individually so we can focus on their specific needs and concerns. Individualized treatment plans focus on pain control and healing. Therapies are designed to increase strength, coordination and range of motion, returning use of the injured hand or arm as quickly and fully as possible.

Wheelchair Seating & Mobility Services

We can help adults and children with significantly limited physical mobility find the most suitable type of adaptive seating.

Services provided:

  • Help in choosing the most appropriate manual or power wheelchair seating and/or positioning system
  • Use of pressure mapping technology to select a seating/positioning system for individuals at high risk for skin breakdown
  • Coordination with local vendors to facilitate ordering and delivery of appropriate seating and mobility system
  • Assistance with researching funding options
  • Follow-up visits for equipment and mobility training

COVID-19 Vaccine Plan

Boulder Community Health offers the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. People age 16 and older are eligible to be vaccinated as of 5 p.m. on Friday, April 2.
