B Strong Ride marks 15 years of support for cancer patients

The 15th Annual B Strong Ride was a tremendous success, defined by dedication, community, and compassion. Held under clear August skies, the event brought together cyclists, cancer survivors, volunteers, sponsors and supporters in an unforgettable show of strength and solidarity for the Boulder Community Health (BCH) B Strong Center for Integrative Care.

This year, 816 cyclists hit the roads north and west of Boulder for the B Strong Ride. Since its start in 2011, the event has welcomed over 11,000 riders in support of complementary, evidence-based therapies for cancer patients receiving care at BCH. Riders had the opportunity to choose from three scenic loops:

• Mountain Loop (68 miles): A demanding route through the mountain’s northwest of Boulder, offering breathtaking views and rewarding climbs.
• Red Zinger 38 Loop (38 miles): A rolling course through classic Boulder County landscapes, ideal for experienced and recreational cyclists alike.
• Countryside Loop (24 miles): A gentle, picturesque ride through rural terrain, perfect for families and riders of all levels.

Each loop offered a unique experience, but all riders were united by a shared goal: accessible whole-person care for those facing cancer and to celebrate cancer survivorship.

Impact that goes the distance

The 2025 B Strong Ride raised more than $390,000 and fundraising is still ongoing. A generous grant from the B Strong Ride will support the B Strong Center for Integrative Care, allowing BCH to continue providing patients with integrative therapies such as resources for healing, including integrative care, emotional support, financial assistance, and survivorship programs.

With this year’s remarkable success, the ride has now surpassed $5 million in total funds raised since its inception. This truly is a remarkable milestone made possible by the generosity and passion of our community.

Approximately 120 volunteers gave their time and energy to support the ride. From registration and route safety to rider support and the finish line celebration, their behind-the-scenes efforts ensured a seamless, safe, and welcoming experience for every participant.

A celebration of community

The ride concluded with a festive gathering at Celestial Seasonings, where riders and supporters came together to reflect, connect, and celebrate the day’s impact. The post-ride event highlighted the strength of the community that continues to rally around patients and families through every stage of the cancer journey.
