Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is a leading cause of vision loss for adults over 60. Its victims live with a large blurry or blind spot at the center of their field of vision, making basic everyday activities — reading, driving, navigating stairs — agonizingly difficult.

Our speaker is Dr. Geeta Lalwani, who has more than 10 years experience in successfully treating retina-related eye conditions. She will describe the many treatment options available for wet macular degeneration, one of two types of AMD. Then learn about upcoming treatments for dry macular degeneration.

When: Thursday, June 28, from 11 a.m. to noon
Where: Boulder Jewish Community Center, 6007 Oreg Avenue
(Near the intersection of Cherryvale and Arapahoe)
