'Have The Conversation' About End-of-Life Wishes

BCH's Claire Riley was at Foothills Hospital Friday reminding us to "Have The Conversation" about wishes for end-of-life care.

Even if you're in good health, it's important to ensure your loved ones and health care team know your wishes and what matters to you.

Interestingly, Riley has designated a trusted friend rather than her husband to be her medical durable power of attorney so that he won't have to worry about it, should the need arise. Riley meets with her friend once a year to go over her end-of-life wishes and has everything written down.
