About
A Cincinnati native, Dr. Hess graduated from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1999 and completed her residency at the University of Colorado in 2002.
She practiced a full range of family medicine in Loveland before joining Boulder Community Health in 2004. Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Hess has a special interest in women's health, preventive health and nutrition. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and a clinical professor at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Hess believes the journey to optimal health takes a team approach and that the patient must be informed and involved. She embraces complementary and alternative medicine, acknowledging Western medicine's limitations and the importance of a patient's attitude toward healing.
She enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially her husband, Geoffrey, and their three children. She also enjoys skiing, swimming and hiking.

Dr. Hess was amazing! I actually switched to use her as my primary doctor from now on. She was very kind and knowledgeable for what I needed at this time. She made me feel comfortable and I finally feel as though I have found a great doctor. Thank you for her.

Dr Hess was prompt & very caring. She was thorough & has a broad base of knowledge & willing to educate, to help me (patient) understand. She did a thorough exam ( not often done by some providers). Her plan had many choices to achieve the goal of resolving my problem. In our limited time, Dr Hess was able to review my chart for preventative care & comment on ways to improve long term needs. It is easy to recommend her to others, but I understand her limits w new patients. BCH should have goals of hiring more providers like Dr Hess.
