Peter C. Stubenrauch, MD

About

Dr. Stubenrauch is a board-certified Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine physician who joined Boulder Valley Pulmonology at the start of 2023.

Dr. Stubenrauch received his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois. He went on to complete his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, followed by a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine at Oregon Health and Sciences University in Portland, Oregon.

Prior to joining BCH, Dr. Stubenrauch was a faculty hospitalist at Denver Health and Hospital. Most recently, he worked for more than a decade at National Jewish Health. At National Jewish Health he was an Associate Professor of Medicine. He also worked for many years as the medical co-director of the Intensive Care Unit and Pulmonary section head at National Jewish-St. Joseph Hospital in Denver.

Dr. Stubenrauch and his wife enjoy spending time with their active teenage son and daughter. He is an outdoor enthusiast and avid cyclist. Prior to becoming a physician, Dr. Stubenrauch enjoyed a career as a professional cyclist.
