About

Meredith R. Dalton, PA-C is a certified physician assistant at Boulder Heart at Anderson Medical Center.

Meredith received her undergraduate degree from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in human biology with a minor in biology. She was inducted into the Phi Sigma Theta National Honor Society and was an organic chemistry teaching assistant. Upon graduation, Meredith began her medical studies at Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine, Harrogate, Tennessee where she received her Master of Medical Science (MMS) in Physician Assistant Duties degree.

Prior to joining Boulder Heart, Meredith was an emergency medicine PA at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. While at the clinic she was also a cardiothoracic surgery PA where she first assisted in cardiac and thoracic surgery. As a PA in electrophysiology, Meredith is involved in all aspects of care related to implantable cardiac devices and the care of patients who have had this device implanted. Meredith has expertly performed various procedures including incision and drainage, thoracentesis, lumbar punctures, diagnostic paracentesis, chest tube placement, central line placement and joint reductions. She is also trained in endoscopic vein harvesting, femoral cut downs, insertion of intra-aortic balloon pumps and sternal closures. Post operative procedures she has performed include sharp wound debridement, chest tube removal, epicardial pacing wire removal and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) removal.

Beyond her professional interests, Meredith is a certified yoga instructor who makes yoga and meditation a part of her daily morning practice. She also enjoys camping and alpine skiing.
