Kelly J. Cushing, DO
About
Dr. Cushing grew up in the Midwest and transplanted out west for college
at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she received her BA in Psychology.
After traveling abroad in Asia and returning to Colorado to work on ski
patrol, she decided to contribute to the world as a physician and went
to medical school at Kansas City University of Osteopathic Medicine and
Biosciences.
She completed her family medicine residency at University of Washington
Rural Training Track in Boise, Idaho. She practiced broad spectrum rural
medicine in a migrant farm clinic to fulfill her service commitment as
a National Health Service Corps scholar and continues to hone her Spanish skills.
Kelly is board certified in Family Medicine and has been a hospitalist
since 2013. Kelly comes to BCH from Providence Seaside Hospital in Oregon.
Professional interests include Palliative Care, cross-cultural medicine,
and hospital medicine. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys all that Colorado
has to offer, including skiing, biking, gardening and entertaining her
rescue dog.
