About
Carrie Fearn has worked for BCH since 2015, and joined Associated Neurologists in September of 2021. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO, where she graduated Cum Laude, Carrie went on to earn her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), the highest level of nursing education available, from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN. She is highly regarded for her nursing expertise and leadership abilities and is a passionate clinician, driven to impact patient outcomes.
Prior to receiving her DNP, Carrie worked as an emergency nurse at a Level III trauma center and Comprehensive Stroke Center. Her nursing experience includes management of seizures, strokes, headaches (and migraines), intracranial tumors and syncope.
As a nurse practitioner, she has worked in both family medicine and urgent care settings. While an urgent care nurse practitioner, she has evaluated, diagnosed and treated patients with a broad range of acute illnesses and injuries, including head injuries, concussions and migraines.
Carrie is keenly aware of the importance of patient education, especially as it relates to head injuries. She is board certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
When not working Carrie enjoys gardening, taking care of her backyard chickens and spending time with friends and family, including her husband and son.
