About This Event
- Event Type:Lectures & Special Events
Firearms have become the leading cause of death among children in the United States. One of the most effective ways to protect children and reduce gun-related injuries or deaths is through secure firearm storage. By securing your firearms properly, you can prevent accidents, reduce the risk of suicide and help keep kids safe in your home and community.
Boulder Community Health and the Boulder Rotary Club are teaming up to host a Free Gun Safe and Gun Cable Lock Giveaway on Saturday, October 18, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Foothills Hospital Campus (4747 Arapahoe Avenue in Boulder). The event will take place in the west parking lot between the Tebo Medical Pavilion and the Anderson Medical Center.
Whether you're a gun owner or a concerned caregiver, this event is a great opportunity to take a proactive step in making your home — and your community — safer.
What to Expect:
• Limit 2 items per household
• First come, first-served — while supplies last
• Receive help setting up the biometric features of your home safe and information on safe storage
