Milk it for all it’s Worth!
About This Event
- Event Type:Classes
- Max Capacity:14
Come learn about breast/chestfeeding basics in this two hour class. We’ll cover the basics of when and how to start, latching, positioning, benefits of breast milk, hunger cues, how to know if a baby is getting enough milk, hand expression, basic pumping info, and questions you may want to ask your pediatrician. We’ll also go over frequently asked questions about nursing and some signs that you could use additional support from a lactation consultant. The class will be interactive, and there will be plenty of time for questions throughout.
This class is suitable for anyone who is expecting a baby in their life soon and is planning to provide their own milk to that baby in any capacity (or support someone in doing so). This is an inclusive space, so all types of parents or parents-to-be (including partners or members of a parent’s support network) are welcome. Class will be limited to 12 people.
