Cancer and Intimacy: A Class for Couples

About This Event

  • Event Type:Support Groups

A journey of recovery, intimacy, body image, sensuality, and relationships.

Many couples find that intimacy and sexuality change after or during cancer treatment. This workshop focuses on couples where one partner has had cancer and the other has been the caregiver. The role of lovers has been lost. This class will focus on the health of the couple and use TRE (Tension, Stress and Trauma Releasing Exercises), body awareness exercises, and mindfulness practices to help the couples begin to reconnect in a sensual way. Together, we can create a plan to navigate the emotional, mechanical, and relational obstacles to reignite your passions and your new sense of self.
