About This Event
- Event Type:Classes
- Max Capacity:16
Lifestyle medicine — also known as whole person health — is a medical specialty that uses therapeutic lifestyle changes to treat chronic conditions like heart disease. How we eat, move, cope with stress, and connect with others has a big impact on how we feel, age, and manage our health.
In this 5-week series, we will focus on positive lifestyle changes in the areas of nutrition, movement and mindfulness. Class is limited to 15 participants. In the series you will learn:
- How the heart responds to lifestyle choices and the benefits of making a few positive changes.
- How to foster a healthy relationship with food and tips for healthy eating.
- How to build exercise into our everyday lives.
- How to utilize stress management techniques.
- Q & A with all lifestyle educators during the last class.
Thank you to the BCH Foundation for the partial funding of these classes.
