This course teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrive. Skills covered include first aid; choking relief in adults, children, and infants; and what to do for sudden cardiac and pulmonary arrest in adults, children, and infants.
This course is highly recommended for new and expecting parents with a focus on infant safety but anyone can take it with limited to no medical training or who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements. In order to keep the cost down, certification is not included in the registration fee but can be arranged on the day of the class for an additional $25.
This is an In-Person Class at BCH Erie Medical Center. Feel free to bring a snack and/or drink to class.
Class registration is per person and closes 48 hours prior to the start of the class. Class is provided in conjunction with Premier CPR Training.
Cancellations: If you cancel your registration prior to 5 business days before class begins, your registration fee will be refunded or transferred to another class. No refunds or transfers will be given after this time.
In the event of bad weather--such as a snowstorm--an email will be sent out notifying you regarding the cancellation.
There are rare instances we may have to cancel a class due to low enrollment. A full refund will be given if we must cancel your class or you will be transferred into the next class.
