Newborn Care Class

This baby class will help prepare you for those first couple of weeks of caring for your newborn at home.

You will learn: diapering, bathing, cord care, and how to soothe your baby. Other topics include signs and symptoms of illness, sleep patterns, and baby safety. A pediatrician and member of the Community Immunity Organization will be present to answer questions at the end of class when available.

Fee: $35 for mom and a support person

For virtual classes, a link will be sent the day of the class to join via Zoom. Classes run from 6:00 - 8:30 PM

In-Person Classes are offered on the weekend from 10:00 AM -1:00 PM

 In-Person Classes: All adults will need to be masked, regardless of vaccination status, and non-household groups need to be spaced at least 6 feet apart. Symptom screening and temperature checks will occur and we encourage anyone coming for an in-person class to get vaccinated. Appointments are available on Tuesday's at the vaccine clinic on the 2nd floor of Della Cava Medical Pavilion (across from BCH Foothills Hospital).

Cancellations: If you cancel your registration prior to 5 business days before class begins, your registration fee will be refunded or transferred to another class. No refunds or transfers will be given after this time.

There are rare instances we may have to cancel a class due to low enrollment or an emergency. A full refund will be given or you will be transferred into the next class. Every effort will be made to make up the class. 

In the event of bad weather, such as a snowstorm, an email will be sent our notifying you regarding the cancellation.
