This in-person, comprehensive childbirth series gives parents an in-depth look at the valuable tools and evidence-based information to prepare for your birth and postpartum recovery. This three day class is a great way to connect with other parents.

Please see below for specific dates for each class and use the registration form to sign up for the first day of the series you wish to attend. Your payment gives you access to each of the classes in the multi-week series.

Our instructor is a specially-trained registered nurse and childbirth educator who will cover the normal physical and emotional experiences of late-stage pregnancy, labor, and birth including:

• Natural options for coping with labor discomfort, including breathing, movement and labor jacuzzi
• Medical options for coping with labor discomfort, including nitrous oxide, anesthesia and epidurals
• Possible medical interventions, including induction and cesarean birth
• Postpartum recovery for mother, baby and partner or the "fourth trimester"
• Interactive labor coping techniques, including birth positions and breathing
• A tour of the Family Birth Center is included
• Cost of class includes a support person
• Please note that if you take this class, you do not need to take the Labor Techniques class as well. The content is covered in the series.

Cancellations: If you cancel your registration prior to 5 business days before class begins, your registration fee will be refunded or transferred to another class. No refunds or transfers will be given after this time with the exception of medical reasons.

In the event of bad weather, such as a snowstorm, an email will be sent out notifying you regarding the cancellation. 

There are rare instances we may have to cancel a class due to low enrollment. A full refund will be given is we must cancel your class or you will be transferred into the next class.
