Boulder Valley Care Network
BVCN to Conclude Operations December 31, 2025; Care Continuity and Collaboration to Continue
The Boulder Valley Care Network (BVCN) has dissolved effective December 31, 2025. We are proud to have created a network of providers who cultivated productive clinical relationships and care teams. Payer data revealed that BVCN practitioners delivered the highest quality of any along the front range and the BVCN was able to make meaningful strides toward reducing the cost of care.
For Patients: This transition will not affect the delivery of health services—patients will continue to receive care from their health care providers without interruption.
For Providers: With respect to BVCN contracts, (both fee-for service and value based), BVCN has given payors notice of termination of the BVCN contracts, effective December 31, 2025. Both the Boulder Valley Independent Practice Association (BVIPA) and BCH are working with payors to transfer a version of the current BVCN contracts to BVIPA and BCH providers respectively so that providers can continue participating in these arrangements.
This is not the end of collaboration between BCH and BVIPA, only a change in the way we collaborate. In the end, we are pleased that the most meaningful legacy of the BVCN will be the genesis of new collaborative relationships among clinicians in the Boulder community which shall continue to benefit patients and have a positive impact on the cost and quality of healthcare in the Boulder community.
As always, we are grateful for the opportunity to work together and look forward to continuing to do so as providers in our community.
