BCH Foundation supports women's health care by funding training for providers

Midlife brings significant physical and emotional changes for many women, yet care during perimenopause, menopause and post-menopause is often underrecognized. A new grant from the BCH Foundation is helping Boulder Community Health strengthen care for women during this important stage of life.

The grant will support six primary care and gynecology providers per year over two years, providing focused education and clinical resources through The Menopause Society. This training equips providers with evidence-based tools to better recognize and treat the symptoms associated with hormonal changes in midlife.

Led by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Alyssa Carlson and Vice President of Operations and Chief Nursing Officer Jackie Attlesey-Pries, the initiative identifies interested providers and supports their attendance at The Menopause Society’s annual conference. This investment enhances patient safety, improves continuity of care and supports provider engagement, ultimately elevating the level of care available to women across our community.
