This course teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrive. Skills covered include first aid; chokingrelief in adults, children, and infants; and what to do for sudden cardiac and pulmonary arrest in adults, children, and infants.
This course is highly recommended for new and expecting parents with a focus on infant safety but, anyone can take it with limited to no medical training or who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements. In order to keep the cost down, certification is not included in the registration fee but can be arranged on the day of the class for an additional $25.
This is an in-person class at BCH Erie Medical Center. Feel free to bring a snack and/or drink to class. All adults will need to be masked.
