Background

Since 1922, generations of families have welcomed their babies at BCH, with more than 1,000 births in 2025 alone at our Foothills Campus. To build on this legacy and meet the growing needs of our community, BCH will be renovating the Family Birth Center to ensure our care environment matches the excellence our community has come to know, while giving families greater choice in the birth experience that’s right for them.

Our Funding Needs: $4 Million Campaign Goal

To fully realize our vision, we are seeking generous donor support for the following crucial components of the reimagined Family Birth Center:

  • Updating and improving existing labor and delivery rooms, as well as postpartum rooms to reflect the latest technology and accommodations that influence the parent’s choice of hospital and physician or midwife
  • Redesigning the physical space to support a more integrated nursing team, allowing seamless care for families from labor and delivery through postpartum recovery

Our Family Birth Center is nationally recognized for maternity care, including:

  • Women’s Choice Awards Best Hospitals for Obstetrics (2026)
  • Women’s Choice Award Best Hospitals (2023 & 2025)
  • U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals for Maternity Care (2021, 2024 & 2025)
  • 2023 CDPHE’s Celebrate 6 Awards of Breastfeeding Excellence
  • Level IIB Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery
  • CMS “Birthing Friendly” designation

If you or a family member have had a great experience with BCH or a specific caregiver, we invite you to become involved with the BCH Grateful Patient Program by sharing your story or becoming a part of our donor community.
