Boulder Community Health Foundation Trustees and key stakeholders were
able to take an in-depth look at how investments are transforming our
community. The evening was a great success, bringing supporters together
to learn more about the 2025 highlighted BCH grant programs and the impact
philanthropy is having on health care in our community.
Boulder Community Health Foundation hosted Cruisin’ for Care at Stephen
Tebo’s private vintage car collection to support cancer care at
Boulder Community Health. The event highlighted the importance of expanding
access to integrative therapies, emotional and financial support, and
survivorship programs. These services play a vital role in ensuring that
patients receive exceptional, whole-person care that eases the burden
of treatment and supports healing at every step.
For 16 years Lake Valley Golf Course has hosted the annual Holes of Hope
golf tournament in support of the Tebo Family Medical Building. The mission
of the Tebo Family Medical Building is to provide steady guidance to patients
as they navigate the uncertain passages of cancer. The purpose of the
Holes of Hope golf tournament is to increase awareness and to support
the Tebo Family Medical Building with essential resources and services.
This event has brought together individuals, families, businesses, and
care teams in support of a shared mission: advancing BCH’s commitment
to high quality, patient centered health care.
The annual B Strong Ride is a fundraising cycling event benefiting the
BCH B Strong Center for Integrative Care, and this year marked a special
milestone: 15 years of riding for a powerful cause. To celebrate the 15th
anniversary, 816 cyclists took to the roads north and west of Boulder,
continuing a tradition that began in 2011. Over the past 15 years, the
event has welcomed more than 11,000 riders, all supporting complementary,
evidence-based therapies for cancer patients receiving care at BCH.
On February 29, 2024, community members and donors gathered in the Leo
Hill Conference Room at Boulder Community Health to hear from BCH President
and CEO, Dr. Robert Vissers and Vice President of Community Health &
Engagement and BCH Foundation President Grant Besser during our State
of Union event. In addition, Madelyn Hunt, Manager of Case Management
Services at Optum serving BCH presented a case study on complex patients
through our Project HEALS program.
