Catherine Allegra

Catherine Allegra co-founded Wall Street On Demand in 1991, one of the first fin-tech companies. Wall Street On Demand, now Communify, is the leading provider of design, development and managed data services to the financial markets. The company moved its headquarters to Boulder in 1996, and for over thirty years, Catherine served in many leadership positions within Wall Street On Demand including Chief Operating Officer, and, most recently, Global Head. She is passionate about creating and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation where employees are empowered to create new technologies to exceed clients’ expectations. Catherine retired in May of 2023.

Catherine has served on nonprofit and corporate boards including BMoCA, the Dairy Arts Center and the Bryn Mawr Board of Trustees where she attended college. She also served on the Wise Head Panel of the MacArthur Foundation 100&Change Competition. Catherine is the recipient of numerous awards for entrepreneurship and leadership, most recently, the Franny Reich Lifetime Achievement Award from the Boulder Chamber of Commerce.

She is married to James Tanner, Founder and CEO of Taffrail. They live in Boulder and have three sons.
