Birdie is the Associate Dean for Culture & Community at CU Boulder’s
Leeds School of Business and the Virginia & Ed Mitchell Faculty Scholar
in the Social Responsibility & Sustainability Division. Her favorite
course to teach is a service-learning elective focused on consulting projects
for social purpose enterprises worldwide. Before academia, Birdie worked
as a nonprofit consultant in Denver, enterprise director in George Roberts’
portfolio of social enterprises in SF, and director at a financial services
firm in NYC.
Birdie holds an MBA from Northwestern, a Bachelor of Science in Economics
from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, and is pursuing
a Doctor of Education from CU Denver. She and her husband have lived in
Boulder for over 20 years and are now empty nesters. She can often be
found huffing and puffing up the NCAR bike trail or breathing deeply on
her yoga mat.
