We’ve been actively recycling since 1990. We began keeping records in 1996, and since then we’ve achieved the equivalent of saving 4,524,300 gallons of water, 2,848,400 kilowatt hours of electricity, and 11,000 trees, while eliminating 39,100 pounds of pollutants and 5,000 yards of landfill materials!

  • Printer cartridges
  • Medical equipment

We reduce waste by:

  • Purchasing mercury-free thermometers and blood pressure gauges
  • Using energy efficient lightbulbs
  • Using real silverware and dishes in the cafeteria
  • Composting our landscaping debris
  • Xeriscaping
  • Using cloth diapers instead of disposable diapers
  • Issuing free ECO bus passes and encouraging alternative transportation
