About

Dr. Garas grew up in Ohio. He received his medical degree from Ohio State University and completed his residency at the University of Arizona. He also completed the Fellowship in Integrative Medicine through the University of Arizona under the direction of Andrew Weil, M.D.

Dr. Garas has practiced medicine in Colorado since 2005, working as a hospitalist for many years managing critically ill patients and as a primary care physician treating complex medical problems. He also currently the co-principal investigator and study physician for a Phase 3 research trial of MDMA assisted psychotherapy for severe PTSD in Boulder.

Dr. Garas enjoys being outside, hiking, skiing and trail running and has been an avid yoga practitioner for almost 20 years. He lives outside of Nederland with his wife, daughter and two dogs.
