Dr. Stephen Hoerler joined Internal Medicine Associates of Boulder in 2014. Prior to that, he practiced at Beaumont Hospital in Grosse Pointe, MI and served as an assistant professor at Oakland University School of Medicine in Rochester, MI.

Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Hoerler received his medical degree in 1979 from Wayne State University in Detroit. He completed his residency at Detroit Receiving Hospital, then served as chief resident at Bon Secours Hospital in Grosse Pointe, MI.

Dr. Hoerler believes in shared decision making when it comes to a patient’s health. Educating patients and their family members empowers them to make good decisions about their long-term health and encourages them to adopt a lifelong attitude of prevention.

In his spare time, Dr. Hoerler enjoys swimming, underwater photography, traveling, hiking, backpacking and playing music.

    Dr. Stephen Hoerler Is one of the two very best primary care physicians I have had. (The other discovered a peritonsillar abscess where the specialist who next looked at it initially thought that the primary care physician's diagnosis was mistaken.)
