Nicole J Licking, DO

About

Nicole Licking, DO, is a board-certified neurologist who specializes in the care of those with movement disorders. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Belmont University in Nashville, TN, and her medical degree from Touro University — College of Osteopathic Medicine in Vallejo, CA. Her residency in neurology was completed at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. She then moved to Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) in Portland, OR, for special training in movement disorders.

As a neurologist, Dr. Licking manages disorders of the nervous system. This includes conditions of the central and peripheral nervous system such as strokes, headaches, seizures, neuropathy, dementia, tremors and more.

As a movement disorder specialist, she has had special training in conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, cervical dystonia and others. She has experience in programming Deep Brain Stimulation and injecting botulinum toxin for migraines, movement disorders and spasticity. Dr. Licking understands that each person’s experience with Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders is unique and it is never too early to see a movement disorder specialist.

Dr. Licking is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) and the International Parkinson’s and Movement Disorder Society (MDS).

In her free time, she is an avid runner and baker.
