Melissa A. Kushlak, DO,FACOOG,MPH

About

Melissa Ann Kushlak, MPH, DO, FACOOG, is a highly experienced specialist in obstetrics and gynecology. Originally from Michigan, she spent her undergraduate years at Michigan State University in East Lansing, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in zoology. She stayed on in Michigan to earn a Master of Public Health from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and then went to Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing, graduating with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree.

After completing her obstetrics and gynecological residency at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, MI — where she was chief resident and developed a strong proficiency in robotic and laparoscopic surgery — Dr. Kushlak served as chief of the department of obstetrics and gynecology at North Ottawa Community Hospital in Grand Haven, Michigan. She then had wanderlust and decided to move to Fort Lauderdale, FL, where she cared for patients in a private practice.

Missing the snow and change in seasons, Dr. Kushlak joined the team at Boulder Women’s Care in January 2021, and now compassionately delivers pre-conception, pregnancy and childbirth care, as well as the full spectrum of health services for women of all ages — from yearly check-ups, adolescent gynecology and contraceptive counseling to menopausal therapy and pelvic prolapse treatments. Dr. Kushlak also brings to the Boulder community valuable expertise in minimally invasive surgery, including da Vinci® robotic-assisted surgery.

As a board-certified gynecologist-obstetrician, Dr. Kushlak is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of both the American Osteopathic Association and the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. When not in the office, Dr. Kushlak enjoys exploring the outdoors with her dog.
