Emily E Bucy, MD
About
Dr. Bucy received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1987 from Mount Holyoke
College in South Hadley, Massachusetts with a major in Biology. She participated
in research at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development,
a division of the National Institutes of Health.
Dr. Bucy then attended the University of Cincinnati Medical College, from
which she graduated in 1993. She completed her internship and residency
in Psychiatry at Wright State University at Dayton, Ohio, where she served
as Chief Resident of Psychiatry.
Dr. Bucy served as a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry at
Wright State University School of Medicine as well as Director of Student
Mental Health for 5 years. She then served as a consulting psychiatrist
for a community mental health center in Cincinnati for 5 years. Dr. Bucy
also maintained a small private practice of psychiatric medication management
and psychotherapy in Ohio.
After relocating to Boulder, Colorado in 2007, Dr. Bucy worked as a hospital-affiliated
inpatient psychiatrist prior to working at Boulder Community Hospital.
Dr. Bucy is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
