Dana Benner, PA-C

About

Dana Benner, PA-C is a board-certified physician assistant. She joined Internal Medicine Associates of Boulder in 2024 and has over 15 years of experience in primary care. She earned her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Emory University in Atlanta, GA.

Dana is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered, evidence-based care with a strong emphasis on treating the whole person. Her clinical background includes specialized training in cardiology, hepatology and surgical care.

Dana’s approach to medical care is rooted in collaboration, empathy and inclusivity and she values the deep connections she forms with her patients. She strives to create a supportive environment where patients from all backgrounds feel heard, respected and empowered in their health journeys. She manages a broad spectrum of primary care needs, including PREP and PEP, and is committed to ongoing learning—particularly in the area of gender-affirming care. She is proficient in medical Spanish.

Outside of her clinical practice, Dana enjoys all that Colorado’s Front Range has to offer, including hiking, yoga, stand-up paddleboarding, snowboarding, indoor rock climbing and disc golf. She is an avid audiobook listener. Her wellness routine includes healthy eating, movement, laughter and reflection which helps her stay grounded and connected in both work and life.
