About This Event

  • Event Type:Parenting/Birthing Classes
  • Max Capacity:12
Details:

This informative class will set you up for breastfeeding success. Partners are encouraged to attend.

Class topics include breastfeeding basics, the lactation process, why skin-to-skin contact is so important, helpful routines in the hospital and at home, common concerns, and pumping.

You will learn: optimal positioning, latch, reading your baby signals, how to know your baby is getting enough, nutrition, expectations and emotional components of breastfeeding, as well as ways partners and others can connect with baby and mom.

This is an in-person class. All adults will need to be masked, regardless of vaccination status, and non-household groups need to be spaced at least 6 feet apart. Symptom screening and temperature checks will occur and we encourage anyone coming for an in-person class to get vaccinated. Appointments are available on Tuesday's at the vaccine clinic on the 2nd floor of Della Cava Medical Pavilion (across from BCH Foothills Hospital).

Cancellations: If you cancel your registration prior to 5 business days before class begins, your registration fee will be refunded or transferred to another class. No refunds or transfers will be given after this time.

Need to reschedule or have questions? Send an email parentresources@bch.org or call 303-415-7244.
