BCH Ambassadors is a self-governing volunteer group of men and women who
use their creativity and energy to raise money to directly benefit patients.
Members serve as advocates for BCH, building support throughout the community
for our non-profit health care system.
The Ambassadors Board meets once a month with hospital administrators to
set future initiatives and plan activities.
There are opportunities to serve on the Ambassadors Board or on a committee.

How Ambassadors Funds are Used
BCH Ambassadors improve both the quality of care and the physical environment
at BCH by purchasing life-saving equipment, providing funds for patients’
medical care and acquiring artwork and furniture for hospital units, public
spaces and patient areas. BCH Ambassadors have raised funds to help the
hospital add vital services and construct facilities -- like the Cancer
Care Center and the Radiation Therapy Center.
BCH Ambassadors also raise funds to provide rehabilitation services for
children, cancer patients and stroke survivors as well as to cover medical
treatment for breast cancer patients who could not otherwise afford life-saving care.
BCH Ambassadors provide a “personal touch” at BCH by knitting
caps and booties for needy families, booties for all babies born at the
hospital, comfort shawls for cancer patients going through chemotherapy
and plush animals for surgery patients.
Ambassadors Health Care Scholarship Program
Each year the BCH Ambassadors award $50,000 in scholarships. The annual
Health Care Scholarship Program supports outstanding local high school
seniors who wish to pursue an advanced degree in a health sciences related
field and BCH employees who are furthering their health care education.
Degree programs must be at Colorado educational institutions. Scholarship
amounts range from $500 to $3,000 and are paid directly to the institution
towards tuition and fees.
The BCH Ambassadors Leadership Council is comprised entirely of volunteers.
Council members are recruited from within the organization as well as
the community at large, and are responsible for the leadership of the
Ambassadors organization. Current member are:
