The Boulder Community Health Foundation celebrated a key milestone on Thursday
in the Della Cava Family Medical Pavilion project: the traditional signing
of the top steel beam of the new mental health building.
The new mental health pavilion is made possible through an $8 million dollar
capital campaign that is underway in support of the building and the establishment of the
Mental Health Endowment.
Over $5 million has been raised to date, including lead donations from
Lou & Melodie Della Cava and Amy Batchelor & Brad Feld.
The 700,000 square foot space is currently under construction across from
Foothills Hospital, and will be key to our commitment to enhance our community’s
mental health.
The building will allow Boulder Community Health to extend mental health
care and evolve services to meet the growing needs of our community through
state-of-the-art inpatient mental health units, 18 inpatient beds, integrative
care, outpatient mental health services, a neurology center and more.
“This new addition to our Foothills Medical Campus will provide our
friends and neighbors crucial resources that are not available in most
other cities,” said Dr. Robert Vissers, BCH President & CEO.
The building is scheduled to open early 2019.
