The
Family Birth Center hosted a warm and lively Tea Party on Nov. 1 for local midwives, doulas
and others who support pregnant moms and new families.
“We have the same goals: healthy babies, happy families and a healthy
community,” Family Birth Center director Lisa Allen told the group.
“We welcome all patient-chosen care providers, whether you’re
a doula or an independent midwife who needs to bring your client to Foothills
Hospital for additional support.”
Guests learned the latest news about BCH’s plans to expand maternity
services, including the early-2018 launch of a BCH-owned clinic with four
certified nurse midwives that will bring regular midwife deliveries back
to Foothills Hospital.
Attendees included our wonderful nurses, lactation consultants, and Boulder
Women’s Care providers now delivering at Foothills: Drs. Lisa Jamroz,
Kerry Shea, Alanna Revoal and Brenda Price along with midwives Paige Swales
and Kim Windels. Thanks to Lisa Allen, Margery McSweeney, Sutay Berman
and everyone who contributed to this festive and fun event!
